PM Modi inaugurates Duplex Flats for MPs at North Avenue

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi unveiling the plaque to inaugurate the North Avenue Duplex flats, in New Delhi . The Speaker, Lok Sabha, Om Birla, the Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines,Pralhad Joshi, the Minister of State for Housing & Urban Affairs, Civil Aviation (Independent Charge) and Commerce & Industry, Hardeep Singh Puri and other dignitaries are also seen.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 36 duplex flats for the Members of Parliament at the North Avenue in Delhi. During the ceremony, PM Modi also spoke for Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu who expressed their views that the Parliament complex must get a facelift in terms of facilities. He informed that the Parliamentarians have also pitched in their ideas for upgrading the facilities at the iconic building.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated duplex flats for members of Parliament at North Avenue. After inaugurating the flats, PM Modi said, ‘When the session was concluding it was echoed in both houses of Parliament that on the occasion of 75 years completion of Independence there should be an improvement in parliament building as well. Since the demand has come from Parliament, the government has taken it seriously. How this building can be improved and modernise or a new building needs to be constructed, the officers are brainstorming on it. I have requested them to do it early so that it can coincide with 75th Independence Day.’
